So I solved the puzzles and because I did that I deserve for my game to be bugged out? Sorry, but that's. I actually thought they'd meet me somewhere in Karthspire. Second off, I went INTO karthspire not knowing where my followers were. First off I'll play the game however I want to. I could tell in a couple of different spots in this Quest, and others is that you really need to take the time to let the engine run its scripts!! As we approached the next part I paused and talked to my new friends some, ate some food, drank some wine. approaching the area on foot I noticed a dragon circling in the distance.I approached slowly and fought this dragon till death.(his and mine) Then I joined my 2 new friends and we cleared the Area of baddies(the camp). I sent those 2 off on there own to meet me there later. It is completed in my play this like I am really there. I was reading this and thinking.hmmm I had NO problems doing this quest. I found a way around the glitch! If you don't fast travel to sky haven temple and start the quest at karthspire camp and fight the dragon and then walk all the way to the temple with esbern, they won't get stuck at the first puzzle! Tried different quest stages before completing it as well, but didn't seem to do anything. I tried completing the quest through console commands, but the two NPCs are still stuck there after completing it and can't be even moved through console as far as I can tell, console just says they cannot be moved. Fought through the mobs there, got into the cave and the NPCs just get stuck at the same point, on the first puzzle. After that I reloaded and traveled to outside of the cave (to Karthspire camp) instead. After opening the door they run back to the first puzzle which was already solved waay earlier (literally got it open on the first guess). Fast traveling straight to the temple entrance seemed to work, but things happened just as you described. By chance I happened to do a completely new save before going to the temple for the quest so was able to try different things.
I had discovered the place just by exploring randomly and solved the puzzles. If anyone knows the exact console commands to fix this, that'd be greatly appreciated, and it's probably the sort of issue that should be addressed in a patch, since it renders it necessary to start a new game if you want to complete the main quest.ĭawn Farrell Posts: 3522 Joined: Thu 9:02 am I know a few other people this has happened to, and figured I ought to report it, seeing as it's a fairly easy bug to reproduce and it completely locks up the entire main quest. They both just offer generic dialogue when I talk to them, and they won't go anywhere. My guess is that Esbern is waiting to unlock the device that's already been unlocked. They run BACK to the first bit of the cave, the three-piece combination lock that lowers the bridge, then they just stand there. Then they say I should be the first person to go in and see it, and this is where things get weird. I activate the blood seal like they tell me to. What Happens: When I get there, Esbern and Delphine are outside the entrance to Sky Haven Temple - The real entrance, with the big ol' face and the blood seal. Now that I'm on Alduin's Wall, this is causing me trouble. I discovered the entrance to Sky Haven Temple during my exploration of the world, and when I found the combination lock there to lower the first bridge, I bruteforced it until it would open.
